Who Am I?

Who am I? Call me crazy, but I was trying to figure that out this morning. Am I still the quiet horse girl I was years ago? The one who used to ride for hours every day and do every crazy thing she could think of with her horse? The homeschooled kid who made stupid funny videos with her brother and went exploring every day?

The answer is, yes. I’m still that girl. I haven’t changed, I’ve just grown in more way than one. I’m trying to figure out this crazy thing called life, but in the process I’ve never been anyone else. I’ve always been me.

So who am I? I’m a horseback rider, a liberty horse trainer, a photographer, a videographer, an explorer, a race car driver, a zombie killer, a singer, a writer, a blogger, a guitarist, a sarcastic nut, a math lover, a rock climber, a skier, a snowboarder, a four wheeler driver, a homeschooler, a computer nerd, a cashier, a Christian, a country girl, a Canadian, a sister, a daughter, a friend. In some way, I’m all of those things, but I’m a lot more than that too. I’m proud of who I am and who I’m going to become. Maybe in a few years, I’ll be even more things. I can’t say that I can’t wait to get there though; because for now, I’m happy where I am. I’m enjoying the ride.

As I sit in the barn writing this, I can see the warm rays of sunshine out the door. I can feel the warmth on the bare skin of my hands. My hair is still wet from my shower, but it hasn’t frozen. I can hear the soft sounds of the horses munching on their hay. It’s peaceful and quiet. I’m standing here, leaning against the wall facing Destiny’s stall. It brings back so many memories. But now I know that they’re not JUST memories. They’re the future too. There is still a lot of fun to be had, and I know there’s going to be a lot more great times there.
